The gray M3GDK Tri-Element Hanging Ceiling Microphone Kit from Audix includes the Audix M3 hanging ceiling microphone, the Audix DN4 Dante AES67 microphone interface, a 3' plenum-rated cable, and two seismic and fire cable restraints. It can be used to stream Audix audio performances through Ethernet networks for zone capture, video conferencing, distance learning, hospital and medical procedures, courtroom, and ambient room miking applications.
The M3 is an innovative, tri-element hanging microphone designed forapplications where aesthetics, sound quality, and ease of installation are critical. The frequency response and polar pattern of its three phase-coherent hypercardioid capsules are tailored for voice clarity and rejection of extraneous noise. Gold diaphragm condenser capsules deliver studio-quality sound.
The Audix DN43 interface features one microphone port engineered exclusively for the Audix M3 tri-element microphone and one port for Audix RJ45-equipped single-element analog microphones. Each channel has selectable, independently controlled pre-amp gain, as well as low- and high-pass filters. It features balanced audio inputs with RFI filtering and delivers high-fidelity 24-bit, 48 kHz audio.
Audix DN43 Dante AES67 Integrated Microphone System Interface
The DN43 Dante AES67 Integrated Microphone System Interface from Audix is the heart of a microphone system that offers audio performance through Ethernet networks. It can be used to provide microphone functions including on-off contact closure and LED status indicators for meeting rooms, convention centers, educational facilities, and houses of worship through a single Cat 5 - Cat 7 cable with RJ45 connections.
The DN43 interface features one port for the Audix M3 tri-element microphone and one port for Audix RJ45-equipped single-element microphones. The configuration eliminates wiring errors and accelerates installation. In addition, all Audix RJ45-equipped microphone gain structures are optimized for their intended placement, which provides quality audio at the DSP. The result is true plug-and-play installation.
Furthermore, the interface is equipped with two 5V logic outputs per port and source/sink capability for LEDs that are controlled by network-connected DSPs. Low-pass and high-pass filter settings are available for each audio channel as well as eight selectable gain levels with all settings configurable via software.

Audix M3 Tri-Element Hanging Ceiling Microphone with 4' Cable (Gray)
The gray M3 Tri-Element Hanging Ceiling Microphone with 4' Cable from Audix is an audio capture solution designed for applications where aesthetics, sound quality, and ease of installation are critical. It can be used for video conferencing, distance learning, courtroom activities, surgical procedures, ambient room miking, and surveillance.
The M3 incorporates three phase-coherent hypercardioid capsules with tailored frequency responses optimized for speech intelligibility. It minimizes frequencies caused by noise, vibration, paper shuffling, fans, and air conditioning. A shielded, silicone-jacket microphone cable ensures a balanced signal and a very clean look.
Furthermore, the electronics above the ceiling are housed in a plenum-rated junction box and cable connections are made via an RJ45 connector. Installation requires drilling a single 5/8" hole in the ceiling. Finally, the M3 mounting hardware adjusts the cable hanging height up to four feet from the ceiling surface without removing ceiling tiles.
