The Turbosound Manchester Series MS215 is a passive dual 15" vented bandpass subwoofer that's well suited for a broad range of speech and music sound reinforcement applications in both fixed, portable, and touring audio systems. Designed in conjunction with Lade DSP and Lab Gruppen amplification to provide optimal FOH performance as well as flexibility to readily adapt to varying venue requirements. The subwoofer can be ground stacked and features a four-point rigging system that allows for an array of multiple configurations.
The subwoofer can handle up to 4000W of peak power to drive the dual 15" neodymium woofers, which combine for a frequency response of 115 down to 40 Hz with a remarkable 143 dB SPL. The marine birch enclosure has been designed for low distortion and a musical bass signature. The steep cut-off slopes ensure an effective acoustic transition for use with MV212 line array modules. For low-frequency extension, the recommended cabinet ratio consists of one MS215 to one MV212. For reverse cardioid subwoofer configurations, multiples of three MS215 enclosures are recommended with two front-firing enclosures and one rear-firing enclosure. Additionally, a front-mounted NL4 connector is available for rear-firing cardioid operation.
The integrated suspension system is engineered to meet BGA-C1 specifications for suspending or ground stacking MS215 and MV212 modules. For speed and simplicity, custom engineered flybars and wheel boards are available as separate accessories. An integrated M20 threaded pole mount socket offers support to satellite speaker configurations. The 3/4" marine-grade Baltic birch enclosure is finished with a black polyurea coating and features a rugged powder coated steel mesh grille that's backed with reticulated foam. The rear panel offers three NL4 speakON connectors for input and link connections.
