Designed for live sound applications, the Audix Novacore NCEC Extended-Cardioid Capsule is compatible with Audix and "S" thread transmitters. An extended-cardioid polar pattern picks up sound directly in front of the capsule while maintaining a consistent signature. This ensures that vocals and spoken word remain natural and balanced, regardless of the speaker's distance from the mic. Sound pressure levels (SPL) up to 144 dB is attainable, meaning even loud sounds on a large stage can be accommodated.

The capsule utilizes Audix's Very Low Mass (VLM) technology to reduce the overall mass. In return, a fast transient response makes the capsule exceptional at picking up percussive sounds and nuanced details. The steel mesh grille protects the components, while a protective sleeve is included for added convenience.
