Dual zones at the bow and edge provide a realistic palette of tonal options. When played with supporting Roland sound modules, the VH-13 creates a convincing range of sounds, from open to closed and shades between, including the essential half-open wash. With the pedal fully closed, adding pressure varies the VH-13's pitch and decay, just like with acoustic hi-hats.
