The fretless UBASS-EBY-FL from Kala is a Striped Ebony Acoustic-Electric U-Bass is fitted with striped ebony top, back, and sides, a maple binding, mahogany neck, in a satin finish. The instrument's deep brown color with reddish-brown striping can be used by musicians and students in recording studios, rehearsals, for playing live on stage, and more.

The UBASS-EBY-FL produces the same pitches as a standard bass instrument and is tuned in traditional bass tuning: E-A-D-G. Featuring 16 frets in a 21" scale, the Striped Ebony Fretless Acoustic-Electric U-Bass has an active EQ and built-in tuner to provide tone control and spot-on tuning. The walnut fingerboard on this U-Bass has dot inlay neck-markings at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 12th positions to help identify the 16 fret locations.

The built-in custom Hipshot Ultralite tuners ensure the instrument will stay in tune, and the Graph Tech TUSQ nut and composite saddle deliver a balanced tone. The Striped Ebony Fretless Acoustic-Electric U-Bass is set up with Road Toad Pahoehoe strings, and includes a deluxe padded gig bag for transport.
