Description

The white 4098 CORE Supercardioid Ceiling Microphone with 6" Gooseneck, Base, and XLR Male Connector from DPA is a versatile mic engineered for panels, conferences, and meetings. The elegant, low-profile design delivers clear, intelligible speech reproduction for demanding professional applications.

The 4098 offers several configuration options, this model's short boom length is well suited to ceiling installation in meeting rooms and small to midsized offices. The included base fits most electrical back boxes and makes installation quick and easy. In addition, this configuration of the mic features a 3-pin male XLR connector allowing you to connect to a wide variety of professional equipment (requires 48V phantom power for operation).

Outstanding Speech Quality

For use in conferences, venues, meeting rooms, boardrooms and other small to midsized spaces, the DPA 4098 ceiling mic offers easy installation and delivers pristine, clear sound.
The mic reproduces crisp, intelligible speech up to the standards of demanding professionals and panelists.
The supercardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture tightly on the person directly in front of the mic, picking up less unwanted background sound and helping to reduce feedback when loudspeakers are used for sound reinforcement.
The microphone capsule's consistent off-axis response means that speaking into the side of the mic doesn’t make the audio sound worse, it just drops the voice level.
Even passionate speakers are no problem for the 4098; the capsule can handle loud speech at peak volumes of up to 133 dB SPL before distortion occurs.
The factory-mounted foam windscreen helps to reduce breath and air-flow noise.
