The beige DPA 4660 CORE+ is a miniature, moisture-resistant lavalier microphone with heavy-duty construction designed for use with professional wireless systems for broadcast, performance, and theatrical applications. This version of the mic features a compact and reliable MicroLock connector that will work with a wide variety of wireless transmitters via separately available adapters. The electret-condenser capsule delivers crisp, clear, and intelligible speech, while the rugged yet unobtrusive design is well suited to the demands of professional live stage work and presentations.

The 4660 is built with stainless-steel housing, a thicker 2.2mm cable, and reinforced strain relief, enabling the mic to withstand tough conditions in a variety of difficult working environments. The CORE+ technology in the mic delivers a wide dynamic range and almost completely neutralizes distortion at SPLs up to 126 dB RMS, helping to provide clean, crisp, and natural sonic performance, even on loud stages. Included are two interchangeable capsule protection grids that alter the sonic character of the mic for better results in different placement positions.

The 4660 is wired for normal sensitivity, allowing it to handle peak SPLs of up to 129 dB with less than 1% distortion, making it well suited for most standard speakers, vocalists, and presenters. The mic can also be used very effectively to capture instruments—making it a flexible tool for houses of worship and live-event productions. The lavalier is powered by 5 to 10V plug-in power from a wireless microphone transmitter.
