These light gauge 2602A Signature Series NickelSteel Bass Guitar Strings from Dean Markley feature a roundwound, nickel-plated steel outer wrap fashioned in a compound-wound manner—meaning the mass of the string itself is constructed utilizing small increments of wire, cross-hatched between layers to engender a smooth feel. As such, these strings provide a rich, resonant tone with plenty of punch and sustain. The wrap ratio also makes these Signature Series strings eminently playable and long-lasting.
