Providing incredible audio quality and proven, critically-acclaimed performance for artists, Broadcasters, and presenters worldwide, the Audio-techica ATW-R5220DAN is part of A-T's third-generation, 5000 receiver Series that continues to deliver top-quality wireless live sound, with dual-compander circuitry that separately processes high and low frequencies and also employs True Diversity operation. Along with 2 XLR outputs, it also offers a Dante output, and has a tuning bandwidth of 148 MHz: 470–608 MHz and 653–663 MHz (duplex gap). Additionally, it offers an antenna cascade output that allows for the simultaneous connection of up to 8 receivers (additional receivers sold separately), so a single pair of antennas can feed up to 16 wireless channels. Its auto-squelch function automatically adjusts the squelch setting–maximizing operating range while minimizing potential interference, so there's no more inadvertent end-user squelch issues: at startup, the system evaluates the RF environment and automatically optimizes the receiver's squelch level. Other features include a backup frequency that can – in the event of unexpected interference – quickly be swapped via the transmitter's multifunction button, as well as software that enables remote monitoring and control of the wireless system.
