Looking for a coated tom head that’s durable but won’t lose sustain? Attack Drumheads’ Thin Skin 2 is the move. This unique 2-ply design sings more like a 1-ply but is strong and steady even beneath heavy hitters. These heads blend Attack’s proprietary US-made Duracoat with 5mm and 7mm Dynaflex film for a more resonant 2-ply build. Thin Skin 2s' more open response have really impressed drummers. Tuned high, the Thin Skin 2 head lets you really get into it without taking on that dreaded "tabletop" tone; tuned low, they retain articulation and clarity. Expect darker tone and quicker decay compared to a clear head, with a batter side that’s warm and thuddy and a resonant side that’s round and slightly muted.
