Description

The active subwoofers of the Wharfedale Pro Delta AX series offer the highest level of professional features. They are used for low-end support of active full-range speakers from the Delta AX series and can also be combined with other manufacturers. The basses are particularly popular in the DJ and touring sector, because they can do more than you would expect in the price segment.

The 15" and 18" active subwoofers in the series use a state-of-the-art Class-D amplifier to drive the AF converter. While the AX15B has a 900W RMS / 1800W peak power amp, its bigger brother, the AX18B, uses a 1000W RMS / 2000W peak power amp.
Thanks to convection cooling, the Delta AX models do not use internal fans. Fans add product weight, ambient noise, and can lead to unreliability. The amplifier has been perfectly matched to the custom low frequency driver. This perfect combination results in maximum efficiency and superior sound pressure levels.
The housings are made of 15mm thick Baltic birch plywood and finished with the well-known Rhino-Rock coating.
