The RODE NTK large-diaphragm tube condenser mic sits squarely in the "far more than you expect for money" category. The NTK can more than hold its own against sought-after vintage microphones that cost several times as much. The NTK uses an externally polarized capsule with a twin-triode 6922 tube. Combining rich, natural sound characteristics with a touch of vintage vibe, the NTK brings you the best of the classic and modern sonic worlds. The mic's gentle presence boost makes everything sound good, especially vocals, and the tone really opens up as you hit the capsule with more level.
