The DPA 4060 CORE+ Omnidirectional Boundary Layer Microphone delivers exceptional speech clarity, elegant low-profile design, and boundary-layer acoustic advantages for boardrooms, conference facilities, courtrooms, and teleconferencing spaces. Built around DPA’s original miniature electret-condenser technology and enhanced with CORE+ distortion-minimizing performance, the 4060 offers high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and remarkably natural voice pickup when placed on a tabletop or any hard, flat surface.

Boundary Layer Acoustic Performance

Designed to work under optimal conditions when placed on a table, the 4060 benefits from the unique characteristics of the surrounding sound field. Boundary mounting yields a 6 dB gain in direct sound and only a 3 dB gain in diffuse sound, producing greater clarity and improved high-frequency detail compared to microphones positioned above the surface. Even near table edges, placement remains flexible and highly effective.

Miniature Condenser with CORE+ Technology

At its center is a pre-polarized omnidirectional miniature condenser capsule with a 5.4mm vertical diaphragm—DPA's first miniature design originally developed using advanced hearing-aid and measurement-mic technology. CORE+ minimizes distortion across the entire dynamic range, preserving openness while allowing the mic to handle sound pressure levels up to 134 dB before clipping.

Elegant, Low-Profile Scandinavian Design

The microphone element is mounted in a precision stainless-steel base supported by a central rubber disc, creating a refined, unobtrusive tabletop presence. The discreet form factor suits modern boardrooms and courtrooms while maintaining durability and stability during everyday use.
