ESP LTD’s Horizon 87 delivers hot, supercharged tones fit for any heavier genre. Featuring a neck-through design with a 3-piece maple neck that runs the length of the entire solidbody guitar, the instrument is more stable and delivers a considerable boost in sustain. Two contoured alder body wings complete the body, giving you a well-balanced and inviting feel. On the electronics side, the LTD Horizon 87 is outfitted with a pair of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups that will punish your pedals and amplifier with high-gain aggression. Each pickup features a coil-split, too, for further tonal exploration. All of these features, plus the rock-solid Floyd Rose 1000 series tremolo, combine to make the ESP LTD Horizon 87 a veritable workhorse guitar.

Seymour Duncan pickups deliver the goods

Two Seymour Duncan pickups give the Horizon 87 a fiery voice. Starting in the neck position, a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail pickup supplies fat, high-output tone with plenty of sustain. Though sized similarly to a single-coil pickup, the Hot Rail pickup’s humbucking design provides hum-free performance. Down in the bridge position, a Custom humbucker pummels your pedalboard with red-hot tones. What’s more, the push-pull tone knob lets you split either of the pickups for enhanced tonal diversity.
