The medium, black Core 4066 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone with 3-Pin LEMO Connector from DPA Microphones is designed for theater and broadcast applications. The previous Legacy 4066 omnidirectional headset mic is known for working across a wide dynamic range as well as exhibiting low distortion across all SPLs. However, the Core 4066 microphone delivers a 14 dB increase in both THD (total harmonic distortion) and dynamic range, which improves clarity and openness more than the Legacy model.

The Core 4066 features a double vent protection system that works in tandem with a drop stopper and water-resistant materials in the mic, which help prevent damage from humidity. High- and soft-boost grids, along with five foam windscreens, are included.
