It’s also an 8-in/8-out ADAT expander that can increase the I/O of any ADAT-equipped audio interface. It’s an analog summing mixer, as well as a cue mixer. Combining the convenience and ubiquity of ADAT with the power of the 500 Series format, the 500ADAT incorporates a high-current 8-slot 500 Series chassis with digital conversion and ADAT — a powerfully easy way to get your 500 Series modules into your digital tracking and mixing workflow.

To ADAT and beyond

The 500ADAT features analog essentials that unite digital and analog production workflows such as an 8x2 analog summing mixer, a zero-latency cue mixer with 2 reference-grade headphone outputs, and true ADAT and SMUXII/IV transmission that enables operation at sample rates up to 192kHz. As an ADAT/SMUX expander, the 500ADAT transforms your ADAT-equipped audio interface into a beast by adding eight channels of expansion at up to 96kHz or four channels at 192kHz.

Audiophile headphone amps and zero-latency Artist Mixer

Drive any headphones with 500ADAT’s two reference-grade headphone amplifiers — they have enough power to drive low-impedance ’phones with gobs of headroom and a linear frequency response to below 1Hz! Use the 500ADAT’s two aux buses to create pristine analog cue mixes that you can blend with DAW playback and send to the talent with zero latency.

Use it as a discrete summing mixer

Give your mix the crowing touch of analog character by sending submixes and stems back through your 500 Series modules, into the 500ADAT’s discrete analog summing mixer, and back into your DAW.
