The 4098 offers several configuration options, this model features a 48" boom length and a floor stand with an integrated shockmount that keeps the microphone steady to resist vibration noise. In addition, this version of the microphone is designed for use with wired systems and terminates in an XLR connector, allowing you to connect to a wide range of professional audio equipment including mixers and PA systems.

Outstanding Speech and Vocal Quality

For use in houses of worship, panels, boardroom applications, and videoconference situations, the DPA 4098 offers quick setup and delivers clear, pristine sound.
The mic reproduces crisp, intelligible speech and vocals up to the standards of demanding speakers, singers, and presenters.
The supercardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture tightly on the person directly in front of the mic, picking up less unwanted background sound and helping to reduce feedback when loudspeakers are used for sound reinforcement.
The microphone capsule's consistent off-axis response means that speaking into the side of the mic doesn’t make the audio sound worse, it just drops the voice level.
Even passionate speakers and vocalists are no problem for the 4098; the capsule can handle peak volumes of up to 135 dB SPL before distortion occurs.
The factory-mounted foam windscreen helps to reduce breath and plosive noise.
The versatile 4098 can also be used as an instrument microphone.

A Flexible Microphone Solution with Floor Stand

Elegantly designed, the low-profile appearance is well suited to videoconferencing and public announcements.
This version features a 48" boom with top and bottom gooseneck sections to provide optimal positioning.
The included floor stand has an integrated shock-mounting solution. The unique design allows for a long stage microphone boom pole that does not swing, but rapidly stabilizes itself after being positioned.
